World Book Day 2017

We will be celebrating World Book Day on Friday 10th March. Pupils can dress up as their favourite book character if they wish and we are asking all pupils to bring in their favourite book to share. We are also holding an optional photo competition of pupils reading in an unusual place. Please send photos to my dojo feed or send to school – mailbox@victoria-pri.wrexham.sch.uk by Wednesday 8th March. We know the children have been busy with their Eisteddfod entries so we are trying to keep it low key this year. Many thanks.

Google Expedition Lesson

6HA enjoyed a fantastic Google Expeditions lesson at Ysgol Clywedog last week.

The 3 Principles of Pivotal

Our January 30 day challenge of walking smartly has been a huge success and all the children have responded well, understanding how important it is to move around school in a sensible, orderly and safe manner.

Our February 30 day challenge will be displaying impeccable manners. Saying please and thank you, greeting people kindly and respectfully, holding doors open, being respectful to all adults and understanding how good manners build character.

We hope all parents will be supportive of our 30 day behaviour challenges within school.

Amazing Pupil Alert

We would like to celebrate a very kind and thoughtful pupil who has worked hard with her mum to collect bags full of provisions for the homeless people in Wrexham. Poppy Ellison wanted to do something to help the homeless people living in Wrexham and she asked her mum Lisa to help her organise a collection of goods. As you can see Poppy and mum were inundated with goods which they dropped off at various places on Friday.

You are so very thoughtful Poppy and we are all incredibly proud of you!

Playtimes

We’ve had some new equipment and some of the children have enjoyed dancing to music!! As you can see the Salsa music this morning inspired the children to do the Conga!

Junior Choir Working Hard

Our wonderful junior choir have been working incredibly hard learning new songs. It’s fab to see more young men joining!

Off to the Mayor’s Parlour…

The School Council made their annual visit to the Mayor’s Parlour. I heard they asked the Mayor some challenging questions this year!
