Facebook Use

Dear Parents/Carers,

Today, I have seen comments posted on a Facebook group page and whilst the comments were not particularly offensive, there were inaccuracies and an unfair commentary.

I place a huge amount of importance on developing good partnerships and relationships with all parents in school and have always promoted an open door policy, where parents are always welcome to discuss their worries.  If you do have concerns you should contact the school to arrange a meeting with myself.

It seems to be an appropriate moment to remind you that if you wish to make a formal complaint, this will be dealt with in line with the school’s complaints policy which you will find on our school website in the main menu under policies.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs Debbie Eccles

Parents’ Day Feedback

Many thanks for you feedback this year. Your comments are discussed with all staff and are included in our School Improvement Plan

Pedometer Challenge

We had a great response from all the pupils who took part in the pedometer challenge.

Altogether the 16 pupils took 396,136 steps.

Our infant winner was Zoe Jude who took 27,527 steps.

Our junior winner was Marcel Beym who took 43,128 steps

And a special well done to Kieran Stephenson who took the challenge off his own back and took over 45,000 steps!

Also, participants of the walking bus were given a raffle ticket and Natalia, William, Ruby and Laynie were drawn out the hat!

Well done all.

Healthy Day at Victoria

We had a super healthy day at Victoria today. It started with over forty children taking part in the walking bus this morning! Then all classes had a go on the smoothie bikes and tasted the super healthy smoothies created by pedal power! Our pedometer challengers have been extremely active trying to gain as many steps as they can. We will be looking at their data tomorrow! Thank you to all staff and parents who helped with the walking bus this morning and thank you to all parents who joined us for our last parents’ day of the year – we love having you in school. And finally, a big thank you to Sasha from Hoola Nation for providing the smoothie bikes and making the day a huge success!

Year 6 Fiver Challenge

We have been completely blown away with the enthusiasm and innovation of our year 6 pupils during their ‘fiver’ challenge. Groups of pupils have been given £5 to create an enterprising business plan. Lots of groups have been contacting businesses in town for donations and help. We are amazed with your efforts year 6 – well done!!

Test Week 2018

Test week in 2018 for primary schools is  2nd to 9th May. I would kindly ask you to avoid taking holidays or booking appointments during this period.

Thank you.
